I knew that if I could not take a moment to see myself and my experiences clearly, I may never have a healthy chance at true happiness in life. I may always continue unhealthy cycles that stemmed from childhood and the lessons would only become more intense. Who wants this? So I decided that healing was not optional, but necessary.

We are near the end of yet another year. As I get toward the end of every year, I begin to reflect on the year I had, and all of the many things that I have experienced and learned. I try to examine who I was when the year began versus who I have developed into. The year of 2021 met me with many ups, downs, obstacles, and many surprises.
